Objective:
To support the Human Resources department in various functions including recruitment, employee onboarding, benefits administration, policy enforcement, and employee relations. The Human Resource Associate will assist in maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and supporting the overall HR strategy of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job listings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial interviews.
    • Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, paperwork, and benefits enrollment.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee information in the HR database.
  2. Employee Relations:
    • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
    • Assist in the resolution of employee grievances and conflicts.
    • Monitor and maintain employee morale through various initiatives and programs.
  3. Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
    • Process employee benefit enrollment, changes, and terminations.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to employee benefits.
  4. Policy Enforcement:
    • Help enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness in their application.
    • Assist in the development and updating of employee handbooks and policy documents.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Coordinate and organize training sessions and development programs for employees.
    • Track employee training records and ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  6. Performance Management:
    • Assist in the performance review process, including collecting feedback and documentation.
    • Support the development of performance improvement plans when necessary.
  7. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Prepare and submit required HR-related reports and documentation.
  8. Data Management:
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in both digital and paper formats.
    • Generate reports and analytics related to HR metrics, such as turnover rates, hiring trends, and employee engagement.
  9. Communication:
    • Facilitate communication between employees, management, and HR departments.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of company-wide events and announcements.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (Preferred)
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration is preferred.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and the ability to handle sensitive employee issues with confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with employee benefits administration platforms.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO).
  • Basic data analysis and reporting skills.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, use a computer, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Work Environment: Office setting with occasional need to interact with employees in various locations.
  • Travel: Minimal travel may be required for training or meetings.
